IT workstations are used in a wide variety of healthcare facilities to retrieve patient information, access medical literature and databases, and assist with medical decisions. They are found in examinations rooms, doctor’s offices, patient rooms, nurses’ stations, hallways, ICUs, operating rooms as well as dental and vision care facilities. They can be wall-mounted, attached to medical carts or installed on specialized medical equipment such as anesthesia machines. Mounting systems generally include support for CPUs, monitors, touchscreens, tablets, keyboards, mice, barcode scanners and other specialized equipment. Depending on the application and space constraints, the mounting equipment may need to be compact, instantly height adjustable, and provide various degrees of articulation to allow the medical professional and/or the patient to view the screen.
